Sidewood Pinot Gris is handmade in the traditional Alsatian style. The fruit was 100% hand-picked over a two-week period from selected rows at our Oakbank vineyard. The perfectly ripened grapes were chilled prior to being 90% whole-bunch pressed. Free run juice was then barrel fermented and matured for 5 months using wild yeast in 100% larger format French oak.
Aromas of tangelo, Meyer lemon rind and talc. This leads to a balanced, textural wine, displaying flavours of Nashi pear, lime and accented by notes of orange blossom and long, mineral-led finish.
