The stars and moon aligned and a single varietal Petit Verdot has been created. Its French translation means “little green one”- but with McLaren Vale sunshine and climate it matures into little red delicious berries.
This wine has the generosity of a Shiraz with the structure of a Cabernet Sauvignon, it ticks all the requirements of a full bodied Australian red wine.
Matured in one-year old French puncheons for 18 months has helped it develop complexity. On the nose, subtle hints of cigar box and violets with intriguing flavours of black fruits
Fruit generosity, firm fine-grained tannin and natural acidity, gives a structural palate. It’s small berries create a bold wine, that is delicious now and capable of aging gracefully.
