Ardmore is located on the east side of the River Bogie in Aberdeenshire.
This distillery was founded in 1898.
Born to produce the unblended whiskey used in the blended whiskey "Teachers".
It is still used as a key malt today.
Since becoming owned by Beam Suntory in 2014, the number
of single malt releases has increased, and it has suddenly come into the spotlight.
Made with barley from local malting producers.
The whiskey is made with a dry, light smokiness.
The original sake was distilled in June 2010 and aged in bourbon barrels.
Bottled in March 2022. This is an interesting wine
with a wild peat feel, both roughness and ripe mellowness . Please enjoy the taste that makes full use of Ardmore's individuality . [Tasting Notes] Aroma: Salted caramel, ripe strawberries and peppermint.
A mineral feel like rain-soaked rocks.
Taste: Heavy smoke, charred wood chips, and coal dust.
A slightly bitter oak on top of the sweetness of various fruits,
mint leaves.
Aftertaste: Warm, strong peat becomes mellow.
Followed by sweet boiled fruit and vanilla
shortbread .
