Aroma: Expect ripe black cherry, anise, and perfume notes. Some tasters also note hints of herbs, citrus peel, and spice.
Palate: Described as a prototypical lighter Volnay with superb balance, crisp acidity, and a distinct mineral/soil core. It is medium-bodied with an elegant, "weightless" texture.
