Pinot Gris

We loved the first release of our Pinot Gris in 2021, so here we have the next release 2022 vintage!

The 2022 Pinot Gris shows quince and Granny Smith apples with a hint of green steaminess. The flavour is fresh and bright, crisp apple, some pineapple juice, a little orange pith, great acidity and subtle oak and nuttiness contributing to a slight buttery pastry vibe that evokes an apple Danish, and rose petal florals — textural with full bodied generosity.

These grapes are sourced from a north-east facing fold in the Penwortham Hills of Clare, hand-harvested and whole bunched pressed before fermenting in a 3,000 litre foudre french oak barrel.
