Grown on unirrigated deep sand vineyards, the High Sands Grenache is the flagship of Yangarra’s impressive range of wines. Carefully selected fruit is hand-picked then wild fermented with 50% whole berries. Aged for 11 months in older oak, it finally undergoes a barrel selection process meaning only the best of the best gets bottled.
The result shows brilliant ripe, fleshy fruit with lashings of aromatic spices, with fine, elegant tannin. A truly outstanding expression of the variety and one that will reward well with careful cellaring.
